Hi, I sent an email directly to Larry on this issue. The current workaround is to define the set highlight color hot key select the text in wordpad and move the mouse pointer over the selected text. Finally press the hot key you defined. Save the set and shift arrows should read in wordpad

i have had w e not talk with notepad too. but all i have to do is alt tab away and back again and most of the time speech will return. also check that all the set files are up to date. sometimes i have re installed the factory set file for notepad or live mail and the problems i had went away.
