This won't be of any help to you, Lynn. But I thought I'd toss it out there for others. After upgrading my four year old system to Windows 10 I eventually decided to do a clean install of Windows 10, which can only be done after the upgrade. I then uninstalled all programs with limited registration counts before doing the clean install of Windows 10. The clean install improved the performance of my system significantly because, at least in part, the Windows registry is a digital junkyard after years of installations, upgrades, and updates. Power users often do a clean install once a year for this reason. I then of course had to reinstall everything. But it was certainly worth it. That is because the download is 3 gigabytes in size and can take a couple of hours to download. I can paste the link to the media tool in a new message or I can email you the link off list. Bob, The weird thing is that I saw nothing except start and loading download, and that was in the form of a web type page. My sighted wife mentioned that there was a menu sidebar, but while she was attempting to work with it with the mouse, it disappeared. But WE simply never gave me any indication that anything else was going on, as in no progress bars, no percentages or anything. I decided to tryVirtual View just before my wife got up, and saw all kinds of options with that, but as I say, they didn't show up at the outset. According to my wife, it looked like to her that the thing had already downloaded, and all I needed to do was find out where it went, but beyond that, I really dunno. What I find kind of curious is how some people accidentally press the button, and can't stop it, but I can't find any evidence that anything is going on at all. I really need some help with this one I'm afraid. Would you be willing to let me give you a call, or may you give me one, and maybe you could possibly walk me through this? I realize that it shouldn't be at all necessary, but this is really a most unexpected turn of events I'm afraid. Larry, If the download is still showing 0 percent, close that download and start the download from the beginning again.
