name=* is for "common name". It should reflect what is normally seen on signboards (not entirely as we still have good practice in naming conventions). As pointed out by Roger, name prefixes/suffixes (which are part of the default name values) are generally and majorly written in English in PH.

Bonsoir, Je me propose de résoudre ce "doublon" "Arc en ciel" D'abord merci à Lenny qui a fait déjà fait la moitié du travail :-) Nom proposé pour le réseau : "Arc en Ciel (Nord)" La typographie (la majuscule et les espaces) vient de la valeur actuellement la plus présente. Le suffixe "Nord"

C'est très clairement le cas ici: regardez où il termine la route trouvée, il ne franchit pas la barrière d'entrée du parc à quelques mètres de là (et ce n'est pas non plus l'endroit adéquat pour s'arrêter, évidemment le parking au nord-ouest est plus adéquat).

Je pense que cela vient de l'heuristique utilisée: il y a bien un trajet possible mais il faut un parcours en "épingle à cheveux", en s'éloignant fortement des deux points de départ et d'arrivée, ça demande de passer par un point qui sort très nettement du cadre de recherche par l'heuristique

Hi Francois, In theory, yes, you could route on powerlines, gas lines, or any other linear feature. Ensuring connectivity could be problematic - often rivers are not connected to paths in OSM. Waterways are a bit problematic as they're often modeled as areas - if you modify the Lua script

I would like to chime in here. I agree with Eugene - I don't think listing multiple names in the name=* tag is a good practice, maybe except in a few very specific cases where it is hard to say whether a name is actually a common name even in English texts, but I don't think there should be
