The best I get with my Garmin Dakota 10 is 3-4m, but in narrow streets or forests it might be worse. Another setting on a Dakota is the number of tracking points. When you don't record enough points you will notice that the track shows shortcuts on corners. can't help with the osmtracker questions. The best results to prevent shortcuts is a GPS system that will sample a coordinate when your direction threshold crosses a customizable number of degrees. I've had plenty of succes using about 23 to 26 degrees. This is not how most handhelds work it seems. I think most of them work with timers and some sort of algorithm to prevent spidering ( I go deeper on this subject in this thread : http://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/35215/detecting-lack-of-movement-on-gps-device ) I'm using GPS tracers made by KCS ( http://trace.me/index.asp?page=hardware ) , they wil send the data over GPRS to a backend from where you can extract this data to any format available. The results I have with these devices are pretty good. For example: the cloverleaf in Mechelen ( http://www.openstreetmap.org/way/11186733#map=17/51.05095/4.50413 ) was sampled with 3 units in 1 car, and a Garmin Etrex as control. I didn't manually / visually correct for mistakes, there where no sat sources since this was new and google was like 2 years behind bing (who was a year behind). But the point of all this is: if you want to avoid the cornering artifacts: look for a way to sample using heading (degrees) changes. Other sensors inputs can be : acceleration, distance. Anything that is not timer based in fact. Timer based samples pretty much suck. A combination of all should be perfect, as long as timers are only taken while the asset is driving. Handhelds compensate (or try to) for this but at the cost of accuracy of the result set. Sometimes by taking hundreds of samples in a few seconds, of which plenty will be kind of 'cached' and probably a few that timeout (in a 2 second timout a car does make a significant distance ). The the postfilters try to sort those out.It all depends very much on the implementation quality of the handhelds. My 13 year old garmin etrex still performs quite well given the age. With a MTK6577, I can get 40-50 m too after fix but, later and in good conditions, 10 m and even 5m. inViu have a tracker too. You might want to check it. If you have a suitable style for print, it's not too hard to make a large image that can then be printed in high quality at Office Depot, Staples, Fedex stores, etc. The hard part is the map style. Se vc tiver um script de como gerar os tiles, fica mais fácil distribuir a tarefa por quem se interessar, e cada um ficar responsável por um estado, por exemplo, claro que gerando tiles para cada municipio. Imagino que a disponibilização dos tiles para uso como layer no JOSM possa ficar no seu servidor web. Daí, rodaríamos os scripts, geraríamos os tiles e faríamos o upload para seu servidor. ( ou para outro que ficar disponível ) Uma pergunta de noobie, um serviço como o Dropbox não poderia ajudar no armazenamento dos tiles ? No seu exemplo, qual o tamanho final dos arquivos ? Raffaello, Uma preocupação minha com o uso dessa informação para desenhar o arruamento e principalmente os POIs, é a imprecisão da fonte. Veja que no exemplo, existe uma considerável diferença entre o que já está traçado e os tiles sobrespostos. Oi, Marcelo, você está certo, não podemos confiar na precisão do georreferenciamento dos mapas do IBGE. Assim, o foco mesmo deve ser a nomenclatura das ruas. Acho que também dá para inserir alguns POIs como ponto (principalmente aqueles localizados em esquinas). Por enquanto, tenho o hábito de mapear (inclusive no Tracksource), somente cidades em que eu já estive, nas quais eu gravei tracklogs, mas há lugares que aparentemente nunca vão ser fotografados pelo Bing e é nesses lugares, em último caso, que eu imaginei aproveitar o desenho do IBGE. Acho que é melhor que nada... Obs.: estou baixando o Ubuntu e o Virtual Box para testar. Só não sei se vai rodar no meu net. Hallo Manuel, einen experimentellen Renderer mit minutely-updates gibt es auch: http://opensciencemap.org/s3db/#scale=17rot=-82tilt=58lat=53.083lon=8.812 Sieht nicht ganz so hübsch aus wie die f4 map und es fehlen noch ein paar s3db tags, aber viele Sachen werden schon recht gut gerendert. Die roof-line Tags sollten funktioneren und es werden gabled/hipped roofs mit komplizierteren Grundrissen mit Straight-Skeletons berechnet. Wenn alles nicht hilf kannst Du ja bitte ein neues Ticket auf der JOSM-Seite erstellen. Geht anonym und ist auch auf Deutsch OK obwohl Englisch bevorzugt wird. Das Parkplatz-Micromapping gibt es auch noch in anderen Bereichen in der Nähe, erkennbar an den verräterischen P-Icons in Mapnik: * Wien 14 um 16°18'35,4O, 48°11'48,4N (zwischen Breitensee S45 und Märzstraße Straßenbahn 10), * Wien 14/15 von 16°18'46,7O, 48°12'09,5N (nördlich Hütteldorfer Straße U3) bis 16°19'16,0O, 48°11'59,8N (nördlich Johnstraße U3), * Wien 16 bei 16°19'14,0O, 48°12'23,8N (Brüßlgasse Ecke Gablenzgasse, bei Brüßlgasse 48A, nur 1 Parkplatz), * Wien 16 um 16°19'43,1O, 48°12'26,6N (nahe Camillo-Sitte-Gasse Straßenbahn 9). Ahoj, kdysi jsem si stáhl ze svn na doméně no-ip.org xml styly pro Mapnik a z těch vychází vlastně ta moje mapa. Bylo to pro Mapnik 0.7 nebo 2.0, fakt už nevím, jen si pamatuji, že jsem je musel dost zdlouhavě upravovat, aby fungovaly s tehdy aktuální verzí Mapniku. Nakolik jsou aktualizovaná data opentrackmap.cz netuším, ale tuším, proč tam chybí trasy. Řešil jsem to před několika málo měsíci. Souvisí to s rozmachem užívání relací. Vykreslování tras je totiž udělané IMO velmi pěkně - pokud vede více barev současně, vykresluje se trasa s barvami na střídačku. U relací je to problém. Mapnik sám o sobě s relacemi pracovat neumí (předzpracovává mu to osm2pgsql). Umí jen to, co se mu napíše do selectu. Jistě by se dal napsat select, který relace zahrne a pak vykreslování dlaždice bude trvat pár minut. Vyřešil jsem to samostatnou tabulkou cz_kct, která je předzpracovaná ze stávajících dat Mapniku. Trasy pak vykresluji z cz_kct, nikoli z cz_line. Další problém je, že mohou společně vést cesty například typu peak a local. Šlo by to do Mapniku nadefinovat, ovšem spočítej si, kolik by to bylo permutací ;-). Mohlo by se to kreslit tak, že by jeden znak byl pro peak a druhý znak pro local, ale mohou být i 3 - prostě stovky až tisíce řádků xml. Tak jsem pořešil tak, že se v těchto případech vybere z mého subjektivního pohledu nejdůležitější přívlastek k cestě - nalezneš v tabulce osmtables.kctmax a agregační funkce v Postgresql: 90 | wheelchair 80 | peak 70 | spring 60 | ruin 50 | interesting_object 40 | horse 30 | ski 20 | learning 10 | local Čím vyšší prio, tím větší má přednost, takže wheelchair mám za nejdůležitější a vykreslují se invalidní vozíky a nikoli koňské kruhy v případě souběhu tras. Pokud má někdo nápad, jak to vykreslit najednou a se správnými barvami, tak moc vítám :-). Co se týká ikon, tak se trochu bojím, kdy vyletí KČT (hojně dotovaný z našich daní) a začne ječet, že všechny značky jsou jeho duševním vlastnictvím (tedy vlastnictvím daňových poplatníků, že ...). Momentálně nemám značky úplně sjednocené. Něco je z toho svn, něco jsem teď hojně přidával z oficiální sady ikon OSM. Navíc mám teď celou mapu a DB v takovém mezistavu kvůli importu adres - jsou tam udělané testovací importy z RUIAN a data jsou z října 2013 - aktuální verzi začnu nahrávat začátkem příštího týdne. Paralelně s tím pracuji na vylepšování renderování - soustředím se na velké zoomy a podrobnosti. Tak mám zase na víkend co dělat ;-). Vývojová verze je na http://pedro.poloha.net/mapa - liší se od produkční verze až od zoomu 16; do 15 včetně má společné dlaždice. J'ai réussi à intégrer les données dans une couche GeoJson mais comment puis-je savoir si les données sont complètes, exhaustives concernant les bureaux de poste dans les deux départements concernés? Bonjour Dominique, Le forum autour de Maperitive donne habituellement des réponses si quelques règles (non officielles ni indiquées) sont respectées, notamment de poser peu de questions bien formulées. Comme ce forum est assez peu fréquenté, devoir répondre à beaucoup d'interrogations n'encourage pas grand monde. Tu n'as pas eu de chances, une autre personne en a ajouté plusieurs au même moment que toi. Tu vas devoir trifouiller le fichier OSM avec JOSM en local (ne pas envoyer les modifications à la base OSM) pour ajouter un tag discriminant permettant de ne pas afficher un des noms de la rue. Oui, c'est du bricolage, mais c'est aussi une des forces de Maperitive de travailler sur de la donnée osm directement. - Non. Originaly AE thematic forms was directly set in the code, now there are defined in external XML files. They offer the advantage to be more easily to translate. Optimizing load time AE was based on direct access to central OSM API servers. It was downloading all the content area being edited, then filtered on editable components. To reduce the amount of data to be downloaded and processed now obtain data from the OverpassAPI (enables content filtering on the server side before donwload). Editing polygons Originally, AE only supports the creation and editing points. Basic elements can be mapped either as a point or as polygon. Support polygon has been added for editing. The ability to draw polygons would conflict with the aim of simplicity in the editor . Translation The software has been translated in French.It was also necessary to internationalize parts which was not yet able to translate. Adding JOSM preset also facilitated the translation and the possible reuse of JOSM translation. Interface The JOSM preset take more space than the original one, it was necessary to modify the interface by removing marker bubbles and adding a side panel dedicated to the editing. Support preset also involved the need for a suitable interface. The ability to have multiple presets results in the presence of a selection menu. Widgets for geolocation by web browser and addresses search also added. All these improvements are available on the AE version hosted at http://ae.openstreetmap.fr by OpenStreetMap-France and realised by Carte-Libre (me). Interestingly, I don't see this problem in Potlatch 2 - there I get wolves_p2_background.png (or JOSM FWIW). . If you switch to the aerial imagery without showing the labels, you can access a reasonable good imagery which is the one which is used until the zoom level 19. I'm not sure what you mean here - I don't use Bing's website so I'm not familiar with it and don't obviously see a show the labels option. I'm running Chrome on Windows 7 without Silverlight, if that's relevant. It's certainly interesting that I see different aerial (not Birds Eye) imagery via bing.com than via the OSM editors. The point that I was actually trying to make (rather badly) was that west of there: http://www.openstreetmap.org/edit?editor=potlatch2#map=18/52.72277/-2.1 imagery that was present in December but absent in January had reappeared as of this Monday, and therefore any missing imagery issues that there are currently may be temporary.
