Hi Stefan Tanurkov, it was you who wrote: The Bat! v2.04.1 is now available from http://www.ritlabs.com/en/tbbeta/ The storing of attachments works, and the nagscreen is gone, too. Anyways, it wasn`t necessary to pre-release the install-version 2.04.00 in a such unconsistent behavior. Didn`t you test it yourself? But this bugs seem to be gone... Thank you for fixing. Good [morning|afternoon|day|evening|night] Thomas, TW Not confirmed. The new (Secure)Bat! version has a terrible performance. As it appears, SecureBat is built on intermediary source (i.e. something like 2.04.0.5 - it includes some fixes to 2.04, but not all fixes included into regular TB! 2.04.1. So, we will put a new build of SB! soon. [-] some improvements for translated interface TW Some important GUI changes are still missing. Re: Test-release suggestion
Hi Maurice, MS May I suggest that releases that include the installer such as the MS heavily discussed 2.04.00 testrelease also be available on the MS beta-download page until testing is finished and the real release is MS available on the main page? The full test release 2.04.1 will be available at the Beta site tomorrow. Re: Next Message/Next Thread shortcus
Good [morning|afternoon|day|evening|night] Lars, LS why could there no 'next/previous message' shorcut be defined LS in the 'Edit shortcuts/Message list pop-up'? Well, because it's obvious - you can use standard Arrow keys for moving. You can, however, change the Navigation main menu commands' shortcuts in the Browser and Finder. LS Instead there are 3 entries for the 'Move to next/previous Unread' LS shorcuts. Well, this is because of some interface quirks. Historically, Ctrl+] and Ctrl+[ were used, then we've decided to make it easier and added Ctrl+Left/Right. Then, it appeared it's not good for PTV because people needed them for moving between words, so we added Ctrl+Alt+Left/Right. You see, we actually try to please everybody :-) LS And a 'next/previous thread' shorcut ni not there either? Any votes for this one? :-) -- Read you later Stefan ...Use your health, even to the point of wearing it out. That is what it is for. Hi Stefan, Tuesday, February 17, 2004, 5:14:10 PM, you wrote: PG OK, I realize that the IMAP issues with the attachments are not going PG to be fixed, ST Hmm. Which ones you mean exactly? I guess it was my stupidity and not the issues. For a long time I had to clear the folder cache in order to be able to get the attachments. I realized finally that I have to have the Full messages (All messages in the other dialog) Synchronization mode for that. With the Headers or Headers and Text I would see the garbage and I won't be able to open the RTF/DOC attachments even after clearing the cache. It is still not clear for me why should I see the garbage instead of the attachments in those modes, but at least now I know how to make things work properly. PG but please, please, PLEASE fix the new bug with the toolbar icons PG staying If grey when the new mail arrives in the folder. It worked PG fine before RCs. ST Really? They were not supposed to work :-) What do you mean? I switched back to an old build and everything works fine. Seems to me that it somehow connected to the VM, which periodically screw up my panels. But until the RCs the buttons were not in trouble at least. -- All the best, Peter Gannushkin URL: http://downtownmusic.net/ Current beta is 2.04.1 RC/5 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/

Editor Behavior
I seem to recall that in 1.x pressing Ctrl+[ and Ctrl+] to change the capitalization of a word used to work in a more friendly fashion. Didn't it used to capitalize a word and move automatically to the next word (i.e., skipping a space)? If not, then I think it really should do that. This makes it easy to capitalize or uncapitalize multiple words at a time. The current implementation is much less convenient. -- Avi Yashar Using The Bat! 2.04 RC/3 in Windows XP Current beta is 2.04.1 RC/5 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html IMPORTANT: To register as a Beta tester, use this link first - http://www.ritlabs.com/en/partners/testers/
Macro Behavior
Regarding macros, I notice a strange phenomenon. If I use %ODATESHORT, it captures correctly my preferred format (defined under Regional and Language Options in the Control Panel): 2004-02-18. But if I use %DATE, TB! gives me an Americanized format that is not what I defined in the Control Panel. What I have defined in the Control Panel is Wednesday, 2004 February 18, but what I get is Wednesday, February 18, 2004.

Until v2.04 RC/2 I firmly believed 2.03 would be the next release version. 2.04 Test Release had several (new) issues, which were obvious show stoppers, hence a new executable for those of us testing the test release. 2.03 was renamed one or two weeks ago to 2.04 since Stefan wanted to avoid confusion due to a sub-optimal naming of several beta releases. -- Dierk Haasis The Bat 2.04.1 on Windows XP 5.1 2600 Service Pack 1 I never criticize my friends; if they are true friends they shall be what they be.
