On combing my other accounts one more time - I found mine in the
sent folder of my isp account (POP).
I'm guessing that would be a filter issue, though ... still, I
closed the thing, di

That's not what happened here, though. I've not only looked in
that account's outbox/sentfolder/trash - I looked in the others,
too, because I've had some exciting filter behaviour here.

My IMAP folder behaves as you describe - no save.
I hadn't discovered this yet; there have been other issues here,
but given that we seem to have lost the drafts folder altogether,
it's kind of worrisome

I just tested with my IMAP account. It didn't save here, either.
Just gone ... exactly as Leonard described. Sorry to confirm.

Hello TBUD Listers,
Well, it's happened again. Several months ago (after a TB upgrade IIRC)
roguemoticons and smileys stopped working. This failure has finally reached the
point of annoyance where I feel the need to do something about it. I scoured
the archives for about an hour looking for pas

No, it ought to stay in Outbox as a Parked (Draft) message, like it does
in my case. I've been doing further testing and even if I unpark the
message in Outbox before opening it for edit, if I don't save the edi

stays in the Outbox. I have just tested it.

When I compose an e-mail note and close it without sending it, I am
prompted to save it or not.
If I save it, it goes to the Outbox. If I choose not to save it, it is
gone. Fair enough.
However if I open a message in the Outbox to continue editing, and
choose not to save it, the original message
