No, I haven't heard of any talk. I just tried to drag&drop a message
onto the desktop, and it didn't work. Why don't you try what you
suggest and let us all know?

My guess is that you will have to export & import.

Both these reasons are why I asked the question in the

Should I make this a programming request?

I use a hotkey activated filter with the only action of Run External
Program. The line typed in is:

myeditor %1 ...

In my case, the ... represents calling an editor macro to strip the
header and everything on or after the cut line (without such a macro,
you get the whole thing).

That way I can save or edit the body. If I need the whole thing, I
just press the editor's undo key and it's all restored.

What action do you wish to take with the composite message with all

knowledgeable than me to formulate one!

I didn't realize that! Gee, I seem to learn something new everyday!

I would suggest that a Quick Template triggered on SHFT / ALT or

I would think a message.msg file at the target. For example the

What would you be expecting the end result of the drag-and-drop to be?

When programming the drag-and-drop operation, the developer has to say
how the drag-and-drop is going to be handled. Probably in TB, the only
information is the either an unique ID that points to the message or
the whole message structure(message, attachments, flags, color group,
etc...). If all you want is the same as copy and paste of the message
text, then that's a different end-result than moving the message from
one folder to another.

Just my 2 cents.
