I have a folder of .tif files that I want to convert to .gif format. I think
I've done this before with PhotoShop, but today, I can't find the options
I'm looking for. I found a way to convert them to .jpg, but not .gif.
Anybody know how to do this?

Not sure which version of PhotoShop you are using, but in version 7, you
would use File=Automate and set your destination to Save As filename.GIF.

Depends how you think your readers are going to use the list.

I don't number them at all and don't use LOF/LOTs. I target info to
concise topics as much as possible, so I rarely have more than one
figure or table in a topic. I can then reference the topic as needed
if there's an image or table that the user needs to look at.
