By the way, I just thought I would mention some of our gurus may know how to build the ability to type in the alternate alpha-numeric characters into tiddlywiki, an example may be a custom language that maps to these alternates. What if this could go into the *pre-release *or a plugin for it

I think that the numbers don't jump out clearly enough from Bimlas' artwork. A good test is to move away from the screen and squint ones eyes so that the artwork goes fuzzy; the digits should still be as legible as possible. Perhaps making the digits much bolder, and a more contrasting colour,
