Friends, Santosh Alladi transferred Rs. 1500 today. It got deposited in my account. 1 09/09/2008 BIL/74203617/for karthik/NSPCR INR 1,500.00 He promised to provide support for six months and later Pradeep will chip in. Meanwhile if we get any support from others, we will update you. Santosh has been contributing from August. This is the second month. Karthik went to his native place for his holidays. He is expected to return today. Will call him tomorrow or day after. We paid only Rs. 1000 to him. We have to give Rs. 500 to his friend who has lent money to Karthik in August. Murthy garu, Rao garu and others, Whoever has friends in Vijayanagaram, Vizag and all, please explain the case to them. As you are their friends/relatives, it would be something like talking to them and also to refer a case to them. It would be difficult for a volunteer dealing with cases to ring to so many people and explain them the case from the beginning to each one of them. All the details related to Karthik are in the mails (in the single mail thread). Numbers are also there. Please pass on the details to them and let them talk to the boy directly or visit them. Ask them to call me or Murthy garu or Prasanthi garu or any body... my friend recognizes me by the work I do and if he has a doubt he can immediately call me on my mobile my no. is with all of them... let them help only after I confirm and after their verification of the case... Actually Murthy garu and Rao garu mailed the details of some of their friends in and around Vijayanagaram. I haven't yet forwarded those details to Karthik. Will do so in the coming weeks. Explain Karthik that next time this happns, chances of us getting him help reduces as people in need with absolutely no scope of getting any kind of loan or debt from somewhr will take an upperhand, at that particular time. Also ofcourse, giving cash directly is strictly not encouraged in the group, and now that we are registered our legal issues dont' permit that either. Divya, It is something like this. The boy's friends lended him for the time being as we told him that we will be arranging money by so and so date. Hesitated to mention us that he needs money urgently, he had this approach. Coming to the receipt and all, will talk to him. We will collect the receipts from Karthik. He can scan and send to us. It is very evident that we tried our level best to pay on behalf of the needy most of the times. This time also we gave as we know the situation of the boy. He came with the boy who lended him the money. He hasn't taken the full amount. He told that he will take the remaining 500 rs. when the boy who lended him will be with him. When we deal with a boy who refused our help as he got support from other group and who requested us to help his friends who are in need of help, we are sure that there would not be any manipulation. Hello Friends, Greetings. What a wonderful afternoon it is!! I got three mails with respect to Karthik. One is of Murthy garu to the group, one is from Santhosh Alladi and the other is from Pradeep, US. He joined our group recently. Santhosh wants to help the boy for the six months from this August. Pradeep wants to help the boy throughout his B.Tech. Murthy garu knows good contacts. I also rang to my aunt and gave her address and mobile number to Karthik. When I got this good response from our members, an idea stuck me that how about collecting the details of all the deserving students in his college and try to help them through our sources and friends in other groups!! I told the same to Karthik and he said that his roommate is also very poor and his father who is a farmer took loans from relatives and friends and bore the expenses and that he himself wanted to request us to help his roommate. He also said that he needs support for books as well. I told him to mail us the list of all books so that we can see if we get any from the students who completed Engg. recently. He said he will mail the details of the books and also his roommate details. I will plan to go to Vijayanagaram some time this year after September and see if we can arrange career counselling, spoken english and personality development sessions to the students of this college.
