I'm just started using JasperReports along with
iReport to generate reports for my web application.
I'm using apache+tomcat as my web server and JSP+Html
as my web development technology.
I've created a sample report using JasperReports
Jsps. When i click on the hyperlink, it shows the
report

From Build Menu check PDF preview.

Probably a Registry hack/bug that is not correct.
check your \HKEY_Local_Machine\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft
check that default values are pointing to correct JRE Keys and that their
values are pointing to valid jdk paths.
If that does not work download the src version and install it...
