Hi
I am trying to get these screens via Patch Installer, however the Patch
Installer screen shows 'No patches found' despite having jstraws
repository configured and 'Recommended patches only' deselected.
I am wondering if this is because I am running SBS 7.6 (latest nightly)
or if i've missed

I know it's really pie in the sky, but would there be a way to hack a
line in in the Touch?
I'd love to be able to stream my record player across the house.
I note that the Squeezebox Radio has one, so perhaps some of the
hardware exists?
I'm not afraid of soldering (had a job in my teens
Just plug it in the USB on the back.
Not every keyboard is working.
Here is a list of all working until today.

Avoid soldering - the USB port is the solution.
During beta I did some tests with USB line-in adaptors and they were
supported. The intention was for a Line-in as a source which could be
sent to all players. Since Touch internal server does not support
plugins and transcoding, a separate SBS is
Just as SACD's don't always sound better than CD's, you never can be
sure that a hi-res file will sound better than a CD - even if it is
true hi-res. It depends on lots of factors.
I haven't listened to a lot of hi-res files, but I have heard

Thanks, that answers some of that.
A separate SBS probably defeats the purpose of putting the line in on
the Touch. I'm trying to not run another computer, otherwise I'd just
run XBMC or something. I'm not sure why there would be a need to
transcode, could the Touch not send the audio to other
Sorry c3p0, I didn't see you there before I replied.
What you say about the radio doesn't make much sense, it takes a line
in from an iPod, for example, which is very much analogue - the DAC is
in the iPod, not the Radio. The Radio receives nothing but analogue
in, and possibly, never digitises
Find it myself, did a reset and now it is working.

It may be possible for the internal server Touch to do the line-in to
play on Touch but not for relaying to other players as I think it would
be overloaded. Without transcoding Touch would then have to stream WAV
to all synced devices which would be

There are hints Spotify may be supported for the newer players (like

When and how is any one's guess.

Hi
I use my new Touch with my Caiman Dac, the Touch was a substantial
upgrade into the same Dac over the SB3 I had previously.
I've not heard a Duet though...assume it's on a level with the SB3

Regarding the Touch dac vs the Caiman dac

I think I'll give the new Touch a try the next week, and I have some
