Finally had a little time to actually use my nice shiny new Touch last
night. I noticed a couple of changes in behavious that I have not seen
mentioned;
On the SB3 when in Artists the remote 1 button goes to my Various
Artists (auto created from compilations) folder which by its existence
is at
I like to stay in the artist / album hierarchy unless I press Now
Playing. Setting the Screensaver to None doesn't work and after the
delay (def 30 seconds) it goes back to Now Playing. Annoying and
another change in behaviour from other SBs I am used to. I have now set
the delay to 30 minutes
My mistake. Pressing play sends you straight to Now Playing. It's only
hanging around the navigation hierarchy while something is playing that
sends you to Now Playing even when screensaver is Off.
Both annoying features/bugs...

Yeah..I noticed similar with my Touch too Peter.
Was a handy feature on the SB3 for sure.

I have installed the InfoBrowser plugin to the Touch, and it works
nicely when the Touch is connected to my PC. While when connected to
the SD card, I get the error message No information feeds found.
Please check IB is enabled on server.
Could you pls advice.

Got my Touch yesterday, big improvement sonically over SB3!
Anyway, as a non techie kind of person, can I ask if I can just plug my
320 gig HDD into the Touch?
When I connect my laptop via ethernet to it, I have to prompt the HDD
into life, so how doe I go about waking it up if I connect
OK, put some of this down to luser error. On the touch the left and
right directional buttons move from the Now Playing screen to the
playlist and/or albums. Will play more. I still think there is
something fishy with screensaver = none though.

Just noticed this 'bug'

When selecting a Random Song Mix, I always get a Re-Buffering and a
restart on the 1st song (no problems with subsequent songs).
Is there a setting to increase the buffer? I wouldn't mind waiting
another 10 seconds to avoid the re-buffering and restart of the song.

within about 10 feet of my wireless router to communicate. Beyond
that, it is out of range. All of the other SB units are in different

Yes. Will it work? That's unknown. I assume you're talking about a
bus powered drive, i.e. a drive

That's the setup I use and it's very close to 100% foolproof with my
FLAC library. I never clear the cache, but I do often do 'Clear

Hmmm... Verified the drive with Disk Utility, checked out ok, then for
the hell of it, tried Repair, and now no more re-buffering issues.

Yeah, call support. My Touch replaced the exact same space as an SB3 and
I instantly noticed that WiFi signal strength is consistently being
reported as 15-20% higher.
