I've gone down to the EDO route . so far so good as far as install
and getting sound output to the denon optical in.

Simplest way is to use a USB cable which only supplies power and no
other signal.
To use ther adaptor as as USB audio out - I think you may need to use
EDO applet as that sorts out the device / card setup associated

Hmm ... more cables and plugs! The bt transmitter has an on/off switch.
Off makes no difference ...
I use the optical out to a Denon amp. This shows the optical line is
