Hi,
Just spent the week trying to sort my SBT and Synology setup, I think
am there mostly, however a few teething issues I still have are

I'VE FOUND THE ERROR PROCEDURE!!!
These are the conditions for the error to occur:
-Screensaver must be turned on
-Screensaver must be a CustomClock style, which has to show a VU meter,
for example the first one called Analog VU Meter
-Screensaver delay does not matter, but 30 seconds is good

Ok, that confirms my suspicions from my previous post a few minutes
back, definitely sounds like a resource related issue.
My guess would be that the Custom Clock VU meters uses too much memory
to be usable together with the built-in server.
I think you are right. My

Thanks John and BPA. I read some of that post before posting this
thread. Thought maybe I had different issues. Not so. I think the SBT
is great. *Just trying to get the most out of it*.
Run it off a computer running LMS then.

Hi...I'm a longtime Squeezebox user with 1 boom, 2-SB3's and 2 duets, so
I know my way around the squeezebox stuff pretty well. My system now
consists of systems throughout my house with a dedicated network and
harddrive accessing a huge amount of flac files...all good and I've

Hi,
I did the recent firmware upgrade for my Touch that renames the server
to Logitech Media Server.
After this, I constantly get the Local music service stopped error.
Most of the time I can't even connect to the server, and when I can it
dies during or right after playing just 1 song.
I have
In short: yes.
The only thing you will need us WiFi or the iPad needs to have 3G and
the Touch then needs to be wired to an Internet router but WiFi would
be the easiest.

If you plan to use MOG or other streaming services, then you would not
need a computer at all. I did this recently at my MIL's house with a

Then all the Logitech App, iPeng for iPad and SqueezePad can control
your Touch with MOG.

yes, as others have noted. no computer needed. And for powered speaker

The A2s do already have a bit of a muffled sound, no need to add a sub,
they are lacking heights, not bass. But OK for a small room.
I did use them with a Computer and they sounded pretty cool, too much

And I'd be surprised if you felt the need for a subwoofer with the a5s.
Slightly too much bass for me, although not bad for my use of them.

Go here http://update.slimdevices.com/update/firmware/ and get the last

Quite maddening really. Only have 2400 songs in iTunes yet some don't
show up in the pull-down menus even though I can search for them and
play them. Anyone???

Any particular reason why you want to use the Use iTunes option? It's
generally a lot simpler to just point LMS to the music folder on your
pc.
