Same issue as #17, when I connect my headphone with combo jack (works great with other devices) to laptop with ubuntu 16.04. In PulseAudio volume control gui, in 'Input devices' tab, it shows that internal microphone is 'unplugged' and microphone (external, from combo headset) is 'plugged in'.
