Dear TREGgers,
I wonder if anyone can advice where to find test equipment for testing of
analog terminals with Caller ID/CLIP?
I know TAS has an option for their Series II PSTN Emulator but this is
only for the US style Caller ID. I need a test equipment which could

After thinking about it, I may have spoke a
little out of context with what you may be

In B 11-23 A edition 2 dated July 1996, the metering pulses are mentioned
in an informative section (actually the same text as in ETS 31 i.e.
12 kHz +/-120 Hz etc).
For determining the actual use of these pulses, try to contact France
Telecom.
Here in Sweden, we have 12 kHz pulses
Thank you Doug! your information was very helpfull.

Scott,
No concrete info. for you, but as I recall France,
and some other European countries (sans the known
German, Swiss, and Austrian), do have metering pulses.
But, they are not at the levels that cause problems,
and I don't recall alot of specific requirements

Hello Joe:
Note 3 of table 6 refers to IEC 112 for the method of testing CTI to determine
material groups for this table. CTI refers to Comparative Tracking Index
which is a measure of how well a material resists tracking. What happens, is,
given a high enough potential applied for enough

Joe,
If you use Amendment 4 of IEC 950, and fall into the TNV-1 category, you can
use operational insulation and a dielectric test between SELV and TNV. Of
course amendment 4 is not universally accepted (i.e. Australia), but UL will
allow the TNV 1 conditions when evaluating to UL-1950 3rd
Mail*Link¨ SMTP EUR1 certificate what is it
Dear All,
I have been asked about an EUR1 certificate. It is possible that this
document has an alternate title, but I do not know what it might be. Can any
of you shed any light on what this might be?
Thanks in advance,
