Cool! and do you have any GNU/Linux games to play with? like NeverPutt and
Tux Racer
the GameCube can run a pretty good amount amount of free software, such as
GNU/Linux.
i looked at the source code (git clone
http://git.code.sf.net/p/gc-linux/gc-linux-2-git)
and there are quite a few non-free firmwares as ihex files
so its mostly free but still a lot of non-free firmware
Is this a reply to my Proprietary software foundation joke?
And if no libre games run on it, which I think is probably the case, then
the system is completely worthless as a system for freedom-respecting gaming,
regardless.
you can program your own software for it with free software

My reading is, that it is an email server that uses tor to provide anonymity.
Do you have to use an email client? There is no tor browser web gui for
writing and reading emails?
I have created an account. Why cannot the server provide imap, but only pop?

With these new FCC regulations
would installing Replicant on a
phone with a wifi card be illegal?
or well installing free software on any computer with a wifi chip???
this is the impression i got from your blog:
Because i think we should make trisquel for PowerPC. Replace AmigaOS with
Trisquel.
I've verified the integrity of the certificate by checking the signature ecc.
More serious stuff now.
You know AmigaOS?
should we make a PowerPC version for the AmigaONE X1000?
wow lucky people!
I think you should use this OnionMail account with IceDove and TorBirdy
addon.
You'll have to start Tor service before with the RootTerminal by using this
command (check if Tor is installed in synaptic)
# sudo service tor start
to stop it :
# sudo service tor stop
You can check if this
I'd suggest setting up your own email on your own box if your so enabled. It
is your best defence against getting wrapped up in *other* people legal
issues. That is to say if they want access to email server X they need a
warrant and will take it. If your on your own server they're not going
Trisquel's upstream has PowerPC support. This makes things much simpler. :)
I didn't have the force to comment on this one. All I know is I want to send
them a giant FUCK YOU
This site has already several languages. It would be nice to add more. Likely
it would also be nice to add a few forums more. I asked for Italian forum to
Quidam on IRC several times. He never answered. He answered to me immediately
in November when I joined the Trisquel community back when
I don't have enough information to answer that question and I think a lawyer
would have a difficult time giving you a straight answer too. And not just
any lawyer but one involved in these types of cases with the FCC rules. So a
specialized lawyer.
when you goto System Settings - Screen Display
what options do you have?
so as i am selling phones with Replicant pre-installed on them
if this law is passed i would be unable to sell them as Replicant would give
you control over the device?
or just this law only apply to company’s making new hardware
so they have to make the devices restrictive from the start?
I have the same problem, as you and i'm still waiting for reply.

You don't have to say much. Even basically copying and pasting what we've
outlined should help. The goal is to get an overwhelming amount of support so
they have to think twice. Right now they're writing off the community and
those who will be impacted. They are required
Well- I believe this # was given to me in a response to a question I asked of
those more knowledgeable and involved in the FCC details. That is there are
lawyers, developers, and other technical types much more intimately
involved/figuring it all out and I'm just grasping the jist of it
Of course, Game consoles are Jails. First off, You have A diffrent CPU.
Secondly, Special connectors not found anywhere else (sometimes) Thirdly.
Digital Restrictions Management (What the FSF calls DRM). You might as well
play them on an emulator.
@BugRep I've tried both tips you suggested but nothing seems to change.
The games i play are Doom, Doom II, Neverputt (getting it installed soon) and
some jezzball clone
I am familiar with navigating through the terminal with the command line but
is there a way to toggle this for the GUI?
Thanks, Dave.
yeah i did too
but it probably helps more if you list your

www.savewifi.org has a list of reasons for people to basically copy and paste
why they object. Just look through it and decide what reasons you're
objecting to it and copy them into the comment area. Even a one line I object
because of privacy is *useful*.
There was such a large amount of traffic the other day libreplanet server got
overloaded and went down. It's back up, but until I get confirmation that
it's going to be able to handle the load I've temporarily directed the domain
to a cached version of the page.
Do you mean something like Ctrl+L?
i wonder why the libreplanet page is on a archive site?
dose this link work just aswell?

do you have a source on that?
Could you at least provide messages that were shown to you, so I can

Maybe you're not testing it properly. To test if you included the certificate
you can try running this:

I don't think creating a PowerPC build is a simple task.
Debian already has a PowerPC build. Perhaps you could try that.

The technical and legal folks who scrutinized this basically said the rules
were not totally clear. For instance what counts as an SDR? Just about
everything now is SDR. The reality is this stuff is getting integrated such
that you'd have to lock down everything on many of the devices

The Gamecube (with an add-on) can be hooked up with ethernet.
GC-G/L (http://www.gc-linux.org/wiki/Main_Page) is the GNU/Linux I'm running

In this case, firmware isn't a privacy issue-- it's a freedom issue.
Even if you hook up your GC to the internet, it's very unlikely there
i hope this works ! cause i dont want to buy an cumputer if i cant dualboot

The way these old video game systems work is the cartridge has a program
which is loaded into the system's RAM and then executed. This is
installation. Temporary installation, but installation nonetheless. It's
pretty much exactly the same as running a live system from a CD or DVD.

No, probably not (well, maybe if you ship the USA.. unsure... you would need

Free software is about _control_ over your _computing_.
In my view, retro gaming consoles may technically be computers, but I don't
use them that way; i don't do computing with them - i don't do any tasks
besides playing the game like an interactive movie.
