Thanks for clarifying.
"it's my understanding that the the Mozilla branding issue has been resolved"
I don't dare discuss it because people have expressed their dissatisfaction
with my discussing legal issues on these forums. But suffice it to say that
it's a complex topic and has not been fully solved.
I had the same issue and resolved it by downloading the latest version of
Thunderbird.

I'm new to GNU/Linux as well and could easily be wrong, but it's my

Thank you for the quick reply jxself - it's always nice and educational to
read your posts :-)

No. You're looking at Debian sid, which is a name for their unstable branch -
what will eventually become a future Debian version. The versions in sid get

Additional info: --no-install-recommends might be the culprit. It seems it is
to be used sparingly, not all the time.
I'd have to reinstall to be sure thoughn because even removing myself from

Hi, I would like to create something similar to a 128 encrypted dmg on Linux.
I mean to encrypt some files inside a volume or package to keep them safe on
a cloud storage service or email or just to keep them safe inside a common
usb stick or sd card. I learned about EncFS. I wonder if
