When you installed trimage, you already installed pngcrush, and also zlib1g, and libpng12-0. No need to install again. :) If I'm not mistaken, pngcrush can only have .png images as results. No .jpg. Try replacing "optimized.jpg" with "optimized.png". -- -

You can run Trisquel 8 without systemd as init, e.g. when you upgrade from Trisquel 7 to 8(using upstart). But there are some dependencies with certain packages like dnscrypt (probably more). At some point i couldnt shut down anymore... Not sure if systemd is good or bad, it works on

I would like to set up a Mastodon instance using the Trisquel 8 alpha. I need SystemD and probably other things that Trisquel 8 has as a foundation. Should I upgrade my Trisquel 7 install for this? I'm guessing probably not recommended? If not, maybe run Trisquel 8 in a VM and host that way?
