On the contrary, the concept of a uvconfig switch that defaults to the way it currently is would be superb. If we're going to go on in life never changing anything because it was always done that way... a working resolution works as long as you know to add a quit. A better solution would be to

Yet the problem with NT backup, or any non-universe oriented utility, that saves ACTIVE files, is that it/they have no universe concurrency control; you run a great risk of saving corrupted (pointers in transition) images of files, UNLESS you make certain no users are WRITING (updating). That

yup. Both 1 and 2, to see if it mattered. Both put the output in the upper tray. I didn't try any other numbers, since the PCL book only looked like 1 and 2 were valid. Guess I can try 0 and 3 as well. George -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf

Bin numbers on PCL printers are not always sequential (or intuitive). Generally speaking, bin 1 is the default bin, however the other bins may be numbered just about anything, so I wouldn't stop at 2 -- try 3-9 as well. Larry Hiscock Western Computer Services -Original Message- From:

I do the same thing. Prepend the PJL stuff, add in the HOLD data, then postpend more PJL and send it to the UV driver, which sends it using lpd to the IR5000. Works great, really nice replacement/melding of a copier and high speed printer. We were using old Printronix L1016 (apx 20ppm) to
