Good points there David, which I notice a lot of people don't consider when dismissing the benefits of an app vs web. Another point is the better offline capabilities of a native app. I'm a lot of people on Vodafone over here in Australia (myself include) can understand the importance of this. --

Hello Chuck. You might want to watch out for some issues with permissions being set incorrectly within a couple of the packages in 10.3.9. These cause an upgrade to fail. This has been addressed with U2 Support. This might not be a problem on a clean install rather than an upgrade. Perry -

Possibly, since I don't use a smart phone on a daily basis, I'm still not seeing the question. What would be different in programming UV to interface with a mobile device, vs programming UV to interface with a web browser? Aside from screen layout. Which was why I asked about potential uses. W

UV11.1 has been available for AIX for 7 month; for Linux only 3.. I don't know how widely used it is yet. I have not seen a rash of complaints about 11.1. We are currently on 10.2.10 / Windows and contemplating migrating to Linux. UV choices are: 10.3.9 & 11.1.1. We do not have a burning need
