I agree with Trevor in that support is like insurance, however the true
benefit of support is far more than is obvious in the short-term.
What support means is that:
1. The end user can get answers today.
2. The vendor is assured of a
That's probably an AMLC board -- Asynchronous Multilline Controller. These
supported 16 serial lines, for terminals, modems and often printers.

Are we agreeing that WIN.PCRUN would be the best way to 'launch' pictures if
they're stored on a shared Windows drive. Yo No Habla Samba.

We have this running on a Dell Poweredge. We are converting from DG/UX,
Universe 9.5. All seems well so far. However, there are some differences
in the PORT.STATUS command. If you issue this as non 'su', then the display
is limited to your user only. On DG/UX you would be able to see

I love paragraphs ( despise procs, truth be told), but I do wish there
was slightly more functionality
1. also documented means that it's in the UniVerse manuals, but I don't have access
to them right now.
2. I did not refer to non-existant labels earlier in the paragraph. Check my words
again.
3. Try it and see!

A long time ago, I had a weird problem with the wIntegrate editor. It
crashes if you press shift-home and then delete.
I talked with the people who wrote the editor, and actually got a new
version with that keystroke disabled, so that I could at least stop
crashing and losing work. The fix
Yes.
On this topic, does the proc statement
[PQ.LIB OTHER.PROC] 100
work on U2's. Just wondering.

xterm emulates a VT220, well it does for Hummingbird's Exceed X Emulator,
which I use (although, not for U2 stuff).
I guess your application has hardcoding for this Wyse 60 emulation?

As others have responded, UV support is a GOOD idea - and a relatively cheap no
brainer option.
If you don't want to get ongoing support from your hardware vendor (somewhat
understandable), why not approach your software vendor, or IBM directly, as these 2
parties probably have a more active
Your SQL SELECT query is invalid. FORM is a typo and should be FROM,
also you haven't specified any column names. Fix those two problems and you
should be in business.
SELECT valid-column-name(s) TO SLIST select-list-number FROM
table-name ;
I suggest you always test your SQL queries from TCL

Hello
I test SQL query from TCL and it work fine, but from Visual Basic don't

In TCL I execute this sentence and the result is OK:
SELECT TO SLIST 0 FROM GCDHIST WHERE CODUSER = '02';
98 record(s) selected to SELECT list #0.
