This mail attempts to clear up some issues in the art direction for Hardy
Ubuntu. As already stated we will not be changing things radically. Here are
some of the things I would like to see changed and some possible ideas for
them.

Thanks for the quick reply. Here a few comments:
1) The window decoration seems too simple (the simple window buttons are nice
though)
2) The overlay on the active menu items seems a bit too pinkish/light. Not
sure how to explain this better - if it is confusing I can make a screenshot

Another thing that I noticed is that the background of the volume applet is
messed up as it seems to tile
Murrine is one of the two engines I considered changing to (either clear-looks
or murrine, then). I am guessing that murrine is much more flexible than
clear-looks. Personally, I like murrine very much ;-)

I just found out that the inkscape team has current packages available for
both Gutsy and Hardy in their personal package archive. Check them out!
https://launchpad.net/~inkscape.testers
Select either Gutsy or Hardy and add the corresponding software sources
repository. Good fresh
