I had Gutsy and never bothered to look up the fix to this problem. When
I upgraded to Hardy Beta, the sound worked beautifully. I changed my
kernel from 2.6.22-12 to 2.6.22-14 and it went back to the old problem.

I have this bug too. It seems that all XPS M1330 are not affected as
someone on the french Ubuntu forum reported no problem.

Same situtation as with Malicious Monkey. Under Hardy Beta the internal
card reader on my e1405 works on the first insert of an SD card. But
will only recognize the card again If I manually mount or reboot the

I am running up to date Hardy on a Thinkpad T60 using the ATi proprietry

I cannot see any way to configure what my monitor is. Since I can't configure
what type of monitor it is I'm stuck at using the limited range of resolutions

Sorry for the delayed response. Glad to hear this was resolved. I
think this was most likely related to bug 188579 where the -386 kernel
was inadvertently being installed instead of the -generic flavor. This
was causing sound related issues for many. If you reinstalled the

I have a similar problem in Hardy. My changes of the delay and the speed
of repeat keys will only work in the current session and will lose when

Yes, still the issue for me. I've upgraded from 7.10 and got Firefox 3
installed automagically into where it is now, not in Internet menu.
