I've just checked, and when using sec=krb5 against a server with no
kerberos support, and a client with CIFS upcall support enabled (and
keyutils installed) but without cifs.spnego configured, I get a
different error:
mount error 126 = Required key not available

the mysqld_safe script is where the bug is. it loops at full throttle.
just an a sleep # in and it slows the looping. crazy that it eats up so
many cpu cycles so fast! but non-attached shell scripts can spin in loop

Same problem here on HP nw8440 laptop. It does not work with laptop or external
keyboard.
Restart of kdm solves the problem.
Also, when I run docked, my USB mouse also does not work in KDM login
screen (but touchpad works OK).

This bug is very annoying.
A temporary workaround is to have a file open from that hard drive. This
will make the system deny Amarok request to unmount the drive.
For example: if I play music from the USB HDD with another player (or watch a
movie) and I close Amarok, the drive is NOT unmounted.
I agree this should be fixed soo. The fix is easy to apply (was posted
in #1) but it might be not so easy for a new Linux-user.
Heck, it took me days to figure out this wasn't a bug of nvidia-settings
but rather a real issue in the distribution configuration. ;)

Uninstalling linux-backports-modules did eliminate all the iwl3945
related messages, no matter whether or not booting with pci=nomsi. Good.

My hardy install has just developed this bug.
It was working without error then I upgraded my computer with a new motherboard
and CPU
it was working previously with an old abit nf7-s and amd 2500+ processor
put in new gigabyte ma-ga78gm-s2h with amd X2 5600
and now this starts happening anywhere
This bug was fixed in the package vdr-plugin-burn - 0.1.0~pre21-29build1
