user didn't mute the sound. Also there is no login sound.

wasn't muted by user

Login.
Press Super key.
Dash shows up.
Type to search in the dash.
No text is typed because the focus is not in the dash.
Click on the dash text box to get focus. The issue doesn't appear again.

Dash doesn't get the focus on pressing the super key first time after
login

Shutdown menu shows updates available even when no updates are
available

On resuming from hibernation, the whole desktop area appears distorted
whereas the panel, unity launcher and avant window navigator dock all
appear fine. Screenshot attached shows the distorted desktop. My laptop
has a Nvidia 8600M GS graphics card for which I have installed

Steps:
1. Open Google Chrome/Chromium web browser and maximize it
2. Move the mouse to enable the global menu.
3. Now there are 2 toolboxes with the close, minimize and unmaximize buttons.
One of the toolboxes should be removed as it will be ambiguous to have
both. Also having the toolbox on the
