It works again in the sense that I seem to be back to the original
problem: I can dim the keyboard lights but I can't quite turn it off
(except by waiting for it to turn off of its own accord). When I try to
dim further, it just goes back on full again.

and the add it again. Unfortunately after a reboot I had to do it all over

Personally I suspect there may be a wider problem with reading configuration.
I see other slightly similar things happening (in Lucid as well):
* Sometimes after a reboot my CPU frequency management is delegated to the
Performance governor instead of the Ondemand governor that I would normally

the machine, reboot, log in, and then my workspace switcher is back to

headset (though not on the sound card). Unfortunately now there's no

I'm using Lucid on a June 2009 MacBook Pro.
I have the CPU scaling monitor applet in my gnome bar. Every time I
restart the machine, it goes back to the Performance scaling regime.
This is probably not a very good idea for a laptop; possibly not for a
desktop machine

I'm running Lucid on a June 2009 MacBook Pro. Last week or so my
bluetooth still worked, but now the applet says bluetooth is on whereas
the bluetooth preferences perpetually say it's off. The preferences
also present me with a big Turn On Bluetooth button. When I click
I thought apport-collect 592100 would attach logs and configuration
information and such, but that just says No additional information
collected. Please let me know what additional information would be
helpful.

It seems to have gotten fixed in the mean time. Feel free to close the
bug, as far as I am concerned. The other issues with LANG and LANGUAGE
still persist though, my Firefox and OpenOffice,org are still in Dutch
with LANGUAGE set to en_GB:en.
