Public bug reported: Using tasksel (on intrepid) from the command line I deselected kubuntu- desktop. To my suprise it also ununstalled the ubuntu-desktop related packages. When tasksel was finished, I started it again and *all* tasks where deselected. This leaves the user without a desktop.

I see the same thing: apt nor apt-build itself recognize the file called /etc/apt/sources.list.d/apt-build, that is installed by the apt-build package. The file should be should probably just be renamed to apt- build.sources.list. After that both apt and apt-build recognize it as a sources.list
