Tested using Brian Rogers program from LKML: Current 8.10 chokes albeit doesn't hang, system becomes unusable. Current Jaunty (of 4.4.2009) gets a little choppy when four instances of the program runs at the same time,. Jaunty with patched kernel fares best, no choppines when four instances

Apparently my xorg.conf doesn't have a section for extensions, so I disabled compiz trough user preferences and tested if I could reproduce the bug. Srolling trough the document on OpenOffice didn't cause any anomalies, so I enabled compiz and tested again. This time I got slightly less garbled
