Could you please recheck it with the current upstream -intel driver. If it
doesn't work with it we can report the issue upstream. The easiest way is to
use the Debian sid driver in Hardy I guess. You have to remove the old i810
driver because the new one doesn't work parallel.

I just noticed that bug may be relative with 2.6.22.16 kernel.
I installed 7.10 on the same laptop and upgraded to 8.04. It freezes
after print Starting up ... on screen when i choose 2.6.22.16 kernel
to boot. But 2.6.22.14 boots fine.
Any suggestions?

installing that seems to trigger it. Weird part is that even when you uninstall
it, it still happens. you need to uninstall/reinstall adblock.

Same here (I built my custom tuxonice 2.6.24-3 kernel and I had to add
alsa, pulseaudio, nvidia, etc with module-assistant. Added them
successfully. Then I tryed to add gspca-source and BOOM! the same error
:( )
P. S. on 2.6.24-16 and 2.6.24-17 everything was fine, but I didn't have
to buildit.
Yes, it seems newer driver does work different way. In 2.6.24-16-generic
kernel i have iwl4965 driver 1.2.0, which work it seems same way as in
gutsy. On wifi off, nm gets information and remove device. On activation
it does not need acpi event to reactivate, and it goes up itself.

After looking at the app itself I think we could get away easy by just
using the list-add icon for New Printer (as currently used in the menu
already). I would also rename this action to Add Printer and move it
out of the Edit menu to a Printers menu, which would replace File.
As for New Class, I
It is quite normal to kill all traffic other than huge transfer. I dont
think you can do much about it. It does depend on what AP you have got,
but turning off qos is against principle what is made for - enable
important data (interactive) have preference before not importand
(download) data.
