I got also problems with repainting of the message window. After
minimizing and unminimizing the window, all written and typed message
are visible
The error occurs only with compiz fusion running as window manager.

unstable and ubuntu won't boot, but in low graphics mode. Now, it's useless.

Intrepid killed my sound, wireless network and graphics drivers and I
spent hours trying to fix them.
I ended up re-installing the entire thing fresh and found that
ndiswrapper worked more smoothly than it ever has before.
It should definitely work in Amarok 2.

This is a simple PC, with MSI MB on 845PE chipset, Celeron 2.0Ghz and
nvidia GF ti4200 videocard. It doesn't have a battery as you might have
already guessed. Unfortunately, this is the first time I tried hibernate
function on ubuntu with this PC, so I cannot provide you with more info.
