native resolution (it wasn't auto detected properly on install),
removing AC power which dims the backlight causes screen image

I would like to retract my statement that UXA does not work on the G35.
After switching to the latest kernel, X starts up fine and I haven't had
any crashes yet. Graphics performance is still below par though.

In the logs I can only see that the vesa driver is used instead of Nvidia.

After some work, I have been able to get X running pretty well. But
every time I boot, it still tries to run in low graphics mode. So it
takes ages to boot and I have to login through the command line. It
always complains about tiling to the front buffer. I was getting them
even before I switched

Sorry this took a while, but the graphics card does not like 2.6.29 -
I will have to figure that out at some point.
For the remote, the patch works great. There is only one key not
working, the ENTER key, and that may be a problem with the device rather

It seems to be that gnome-keyring has a problem while reading my private
key in dos format (CR/LF). After converting it to unix format it works

Additionally, Synaptic and other pkg managers not working (they show
some errors after they were launched).
In recovery mode i can upgrade packages, but I see errors like Can't

After upgrading Ubuntu 8.10 to 9.04 on HP DC5800 Computer with
integrated Intel 82q33 chipset X freezes on startup.
I recreated the almost empty xorg.conf several times with no effect.
Deactivating DRI doesn´t help either.

The problem is still there in Jaunty.
Is there a way to solve this issue without restarting firefox or skype?
I get the problem both in Gnome and in Kde...

a step back in usability.
Just look at all the comments in the bugreport.
Revert this, and whoever signed off on that change should be spanked,
