Ubuntu better. The error was indeed caused by a corrupted archive
(network error, disk error, ...) . Please execute the following
commands, as it will clear your package cache, in a terminal:

Well... The issue is resolved. I turns out that the, with padevchooser,
I went to Default Server.
Other was selected. I changed this to Default, and all was resolved,
I could connect to the PA server.

Ah, I have a tip for reproducing this bug every time.
- Choose a folder where there are many documents which needs a thumbnail
generation.
- Execute : rm -rf ~/.thumbnails
- In nautilus (in the chosen folder), press F5 (for regenerating thumbnails)
- Before the thumbnails are generated, press F5

I don;t adjust the apparmor part due to the fact that I have remove that
package just to be sure that it was not the bootleneck.
Anyway I can put it back either now.

thunderbird), the X server started to display some characters and images (in
firefox) wrongly. After a short time the complete system crashes. It is not

Long time ago i played with mapnik build from source.
And probably python-mapnik module come from there...
Can't try preform update again, because after reboot my system says is is
Ubuntu 9.10.
Every things works fine. (Except some minor things like kpackagekit, synaptic
works fine)

I looked a bit closer than before and saw that the openal packages in karmic
(and lucid) come from the openal-soft (not openal) package.
Lucid has newer ones, so a next step could be to try how blender 2.5 behaves
under lucid.

Changing encryption from WPA2 to WPA seems to have fixed my issue (or
rather, appears to be a usable workaround - Obviously WPA2 is still not
working correctly.)
