I am not trying to install any package. I allready have k3b and a few
kde games installed on ubuntu. Kde base-runtime is required for any kde
program to run. There is a kdebase- runtime update to be installed it

The problem was indeed related apparmor. My home directory is not in
/home and I didn't tell apparmor that. While testing Lucid, my home
directory is in /local/home-10.04, and /home - /local/home-10.4.

hm, I can reproduce the build failure in an Ubuntu chroot on sparc. I
very much believe the difference between sparc and other architectures
is that the new version of the patch packaged FTBFS'd on sparc (and
still dies with bus errors in the test-cases, as I just found out :/)

The default method of xboard installation adds an system menu item in
Application - Games, but when I try to select xboard from the menu,
