Title:
I believe this issue is now resolved with the latest version of
virtualenv. To give it a shot, use pip to install the latest version
instead of using the packaged version. I used
apt-get remove python-virtualenv
apt-get install pip
pip install --upgrade pip
pip install virtalenv
Was then able to
/usr/share/xubuntu/session.sh shouldn't be needed anymore in oneiric, so
I've dropped it in the latest xubuntu-default-settings upload (but if I
ever need to reintroduce it, I'll register it in update-laternative, no
worry).

I've got the same problem and dbus version is the same too. I'm using the
Oneiric's repositories.
After reading your comments I've made a one line script what's running on
shutdown and clearing the /var/run/dbus folder's content.
Now the problem is solved for me.
Thanks for the idea.
