[Bug 1827284] Re: [regression] No window spread animation
Finally got there in the end... 9152d3a286defdd7351e2e4acad0323d60bb57f6 is the first bad commit commit 9152d3a286defdd7351e2e4acad0323d60bb57f6 Author: Carlos Garnacho Date: Thu Jun 28 14:41:07 2018 + st-box-layout: Queue relayout on adjustment changes The actor allocation doesn't change per-se, but apply_transform() will practically transform it. In order to have the paint volume update accordingly, queue a relayout. Re: [Bug 1823458] Re: race condition between vhost_net_stop and CHR_EVENT_CLOSED on shutdown crashes qemu
> @cpaelzer, if you have any suggestions for specific tests/configurations > that might be good to test the specific code changed here, please let me > know. I have ran the few test that would cover that area in the past on PPAs already. Unfortunately this is a very specific path and I don't have much more tests for it. If anything comes to my mind it would be loops of attaching/detaching extra interfaces to guests and try some traffic on them. And every now and then in between supend/resume the or shutdown/start the guest again. Like: repeat forever start or resume repeat ~20 times add network device check network device to work shutdown or suspend This should cover a lot of paths that your change might have affected. /me hopes that indents will be retained by LP -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1823458 Title: race condition between vhost_net_stop and CHR_EVENT_CLOSED on shutdown crashes qemu To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/cloud-archive/+bug/1823458/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1728012] Re: Many 3rd party scanner drivers are broken by a sane change
@Luca-mg: What your computer sees is the following: - You attach a device whose USB ID doesn't match any udev rule => the device is accessible for the root user only. - then you as the root user start a program that uploads something to the device. - the device disconnects and - a new device connects, this time using an USB ID there is an udev rule for. This rule tells the device is a scanner. You are in the group "scanner" => You can use it without root rights. What you need is an udev rule that tells the system that the USB ID your device has before its firmware is uploaded is a scanner, too. As soon as udev knows that this device is a scanner it will give you the necessary rights to upload the firmware without being root. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1728012 Title: Many 3rd party scanner drivers are broken by a sane change To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sane-backends/+bug/1728012/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

If I understand the keepalived > 2.0.x behavior referred to by cdmiller above (see 2019-03-07 comment) that is not the appropriate response to the problem. Granted, it mitigates the consequences butr doesn't address the underlying issue. A systemd-source issue should not cause keepalived failover since failover is designed to address issues of system or hardware failure, not the bad behavior of other system software. systemd needs to be made to cooperate with other software rather than assuming it is the only authority on the system. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1815101 Title: [master] Restarting systemd-networkd breaks keepalived clusters To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/netplan/+bug/1815101/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1828136] Re: [Intel DH67CL, Realtek ALC892, Grey SPDIF Out, Rear] No sound at all
The attached file AudioDevicesInUse.txt suggests that 'audacity' is stealing the hardware device from pulseaudio -- bypassing it. If that is the issue then it's unfortunately not a bug. You need to be sure that all audio software (including audacity) is configured to use PulseAudio only, and not ALSA directly. Because the latter will prevent all other audio (via PulseAudio) from working. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1828136 Title: [Intel DH67CL, Realtek ALC892, Grey SPDIF Out, Rear] No sound at all To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1828136/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1828136] Re: [Intel DH67CL, Realtek ALC892, Grey SPDIF Out, Rear] No sound at all
I'm a little confused here. What does audacity have to do with the fact that there is no sound after a reboot? Audacity happens to be running now...perhaps that's why it's the only program using ALSA. (Is ALSA deprecated?) But audacity does not start automatically at boot, so it is irrelevant to the problem, which is that the sound device is not even recognized until "alsa force-reload".

Strange. I do now have the animation in bionic today (gnome-shell version 3.28.3+git20190124-0ubuntu18.04.2), providing I use the mouse and not Super+A. [Bug 1828101] Re: [linux-azure] Disk Partition Issue
This is as expected, the root partition in the registered image will not match the size of the disk that is deployed. It will be large enough to contain the root partition and provide some blank space. This is by design and allows VMs to be started with variable size disks. This is seen early in boot before cloud-init runs and because the disk from the image builder is smaller it will leave the gpt backup table in the middle of the deployed disk, but this is safe. One of the early cloud- init modules is growpart[1] and there's good documentation in the link for that module, but by default that module will grow the partition for the root filesystem to fill the disk and then grow the filesystem to fill that partition. In doing this the gpt backup table will be moved to a location correct for the root disk size at deployemtn; this is why you don't see the warning after reboot. In addition to giving flexibility for launching with different size root disks the user can instruct cloud-init not to resize the root filesystem[2][3] and instead use the unused space to create other partitions and filesystems[4]. [Bug 1828134] [NEW] Wifi not working after suspend/resume cycle
Public bug reported: About 75% of the time for the past few weeks (I don't have a time where this started), my wifi is not working after resume from suspend. I'm happy to provide more debugging info if needed. I have tried an rmmod/modprobe on on the iwlwifi, iwlmvm modules just to see after the resume, and didn't re-enable the card. The symptoms are, the wlp4so interface is DOWN, I can't bring it up. gnome-network-manager widget turning the interface off/on doesn't work. I don't see anything glaring in dmesg. [Bug 1825378] Re: systemd-networkd doesn't set wireguard peer endpoint
Hi all, could the package maintainer(s) please take a look at this? This breaks (almost) any WireGuard endpoint configured by systemd- networkd. Worse, it breaks them silently, which makes for a fun debugging adventure. [Bug 1384532] Re: Unable to set AppArmor profile [...] no such file or directory
I had this issue and what I did to solve it was: Deleted relevant files in /etc/apparmor.d/libvirt, e.g.: 1. sudo rm /etc/apparmor.d/libvirt/libvirt- 2. sudo rm /etc/apparmor.d/libvirt/libvirt-.files 3. Restart machine And then it worked -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1384532 Title: Unable to set AppArmor profile [...] no such file or directory To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libvirt/+bug/1384532/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1828131] [NEW] Qemu causes system hang
Public bug reported: I'm trying to use https://virt-manager.org/ / QEMU. I migrated over a Ubuntu Guest from Virtualbox, added it to virt-manager, and launch. It opens the window, then the system freezes. I don't know if it's a bug in QEMU, libvirt, or virt-manager, or nvidia. Nvidia is working fine otherwise, Version: 430.09. This is easily reproduced every time I try starting a qemu machine, so I can run any diagnostics while this happens if that helps.
