No, I don't believe that is the bug affecting it, as I don't get that
message in my error log. But I had a go at installing cups 1.2.1 from
source. when i do, i am no longer able to use local printers, for some
reason. all other types are ok (in the kde add printer wizard) but local

I've landed a fix for the bug in Launchpad (bug 39995), so it should be
fixed on launchpad.net sometime in the next week or so. Obviously that
won't fix the bug in Xorg, it will just become harder to reproduce. So

I am going to remove the advanced button at all. It creates only a mess:
click on the button, g-a-i disapears immediatly, wait, screen fades out,

I solved reported problem by compiling and installing new kernel. I'm
currently runnig 2.6.17.1, with fglrx driver downloaded from ati. My
load average is now around 0.30, and system runs smoothly.
I recompilled 2.6.15 kernel with /boot/config.2.6.15-25, and my system
was slow again. I discovered

I'll add a me too -- prior to the Dapper release, the changelogs
usually appeared in the update-notifier window. Since the release, the
text area for the changelog refreshes for each package, but the text
area contains nothing (blank). The package description panel, on the
other hand, continues to

According to the Debian changelog the horde3 package in Dapper is
suffering from a possible XSS vulnerability CVE-2006-2195.
Upgrading to the newest package from the Debian repos should fix this.
It would also fix the current dependency problems with php5.

I tried xpdf-utils, but that didnt solve the problem. pdftops from that
package also causes problems with the Malayalam text.
I also tried to take the text into KEdit and print from there. There is
no issue in that.
