More than a month ago, a few weeks after I upgraded to ubuntu hardy,
I've lost my dead-key support. I thought this was due to the beta-
release and it will come back, but now when I tested this on antother
Hardy installation it's working.

Thanks for your quick response. I am new to Ubuntu, and so if I did not
frame this bug report properly, I'm sorry. The graphics driver that Ubuntu
selected for the SIS662 does not work properly. Would you please take the

I have the same problem. I observe the same behavior at Gutsy (Linux
kernel image for version 2.6.17 on x86/x86_64, system is fully updated.).
Everything is fine if the CD is inserted during boot, in other case it
freeze. Believe me -- it is really annoying.
I can confirm this bug in gutsy firefox 2.0.0.10
After deleting downloads.rdf everything works fine!

The workaround I have is not booting in Xgl but in Xorg. So, when your
computer starts, ctrl + F1, there you have to log in. then type
sudo etc/init.d/gsm.multi-save stop
or sudo killall -9 gdm
then type
startx
But be carefull you start the right x-org session. Disadvantage by not
starting

Kernel Panic after suspend.
Suspend2ram always worked till this weekend. turning my computer at
sleep works but the laptop hangs after boot-up in a kernel panic. Since
I couldn't find anything in log-files (maybe due to panic?) I made a

I have such problem after an upgrade from elder version of XChat.
IRC server I use accepts only /msg nickserv IDENTIFY password command.
It seems, that XChat sends /nickserv IDENTIFY password to server. If server
doesn't accept this command alias, authentication fails.

this didn't do the trick here, I still have the python2.6 problem when
printing documents. sometimes just 1 pages comes out, sometimes more.
Repeating can do the trick but is not a solution.

I have the same problem than others in the list with my Quad core Q6600
processor.
I tested your kernel patch for i386 given above in #39 post. It refuses
to launch GDM to login on. The login screen is the console one. And the
display of login screen in text mode was
i386, ubuntu 9.10,
problem while try to replace old torrent with updated new one.

In google analitycs i don't see reports graphics, another sites like

When following the documentation at

for network install. I was unable to make tftp server work.
The problem was due to miss configuration of inet daemon.
instead of configuring UDP, we should configure

I think I have the same problem.
After suspend2ram (suspend2disk not tested but probably the same)
Networkmanager can only find wired device. I'm able to connect bu typing 'sudo
dhclient' but this isn't working with WEP protection.

When i boot Ubuntu 6.06 with the i686 kernel, whenever i insert a CD-ROM
into drive my system hangs totally and does not response to every kind
of input. It also does not produce any kind of output, it simply dies.
Booting with i386 kernel doesn't give problems.
My Machine
Same errors with karmic-alternate-lpia.iso (daily build on 29.07.09).
