only gives root access to this device. Adding a file:

As of March 3 fresh install. The problem very much still exists. It
has been reported on more then one ARM platform. I'm using babbage 1.0 with an
SD card. I used your script:

ubuntu -p ubuntu -i 4G
The SD cards are formated ext2. I would say that this is an i/o case but
seems like something more suttle may be going on.

I have an SD card 8GB 4GB both Sandisk Ultra that load everything
fine. But gnome-keyring-daemon looses it's mind when loaded. But once
killed all is well.

to System-Prefrence-Startup Applications . Then uncheck Gnome Keyring Daemon.

Well it works on my Thinkpad X301, but only after trying to connect for
the 2nd time via network manager (connecting to ATT). When you try the
first time will fail. Have to debug later to figure out what's up.

I don't think there is a way around this issue. Applications depend on
getting the fully line to authenticate to the Network proxy in this
manner. This way network proxy can work not just for gtk based
applications. But all applications.
Many applications depend on $http_proxy to be fully set.
This design of most application to depend on the all the information to
be apart of the $http_proxy. This includes the username and password so
the applications can properly authenticate. Since most do not have a way
to prompt the user if challenged forr authentication information by the
proxy
To make sure things are clear. The idea here is that the text that
whould hover over would be in the native language that you are hovering
over. Basically translating Click Here to make your system language
default to LANGUAGE.

I read the logs. The reason you are seeing this is that the machine is
using the Vesa video driver and not the intel video driver. The revision of
the intel chip may not be in the database of supported intel chips in 8.10.
Could you try out a Jaunty Live CD and see if you get the
Welch sends an acpi event. We handled in acpi-support package.

This looks lot be a newer version of the Intel 4500 chip. The chip id
may not be in the driver. Could you try out the Jaunty live CD .. you don't
need to install it , you can see if comes up with the proper resolution in the
Live Session.
If that works it better helps
F3507g is support is now completely broken in Network Manger in Jaunty,
as of April 5th.
It no longer is listed in Network Manger. Last week it was listed but it
would not activate the card. It was working through out Jaunty Alpha
(just listing 4 instances), now lists no instances.

Odd you can't see it. Try it in totem, works fine for me.
For the 2nd attempt it works in seconds. It's only the initial
attempt where the card has to power up and initialize it takes a full
minute to get going.

Looking at the Xorg log it appears that the AUO display does not have
everything needed in it's EDID info. Either it's EDID info is incomplete
or it does not support the standard VESA modes needed (such as
[EMAIL PROTECTED]).

So it does look to that this issue may be an issue with partman and drives
Bryan there is now 1:6.11.0-1ubuntu5 as of March 8th. When you get a
chance can you try a Live CD build and see if everything works now.
Sorry that -1ubuntu4 had those issues. -1ubuntu5 is building fine and in
the lastest builds.

Hmm.. try out an Ubuntu live CD build it is up to 1:6.11.0-1ubuntu5 -- note
the ubunt5. Not sure why kubuntu is behind though.
Or you could try an update then log in and log out. But the version
currently in the repositories is xserver-xorg-video-ati
1:6.11.0-1ubuntu5 .. that would have

Hmm .. the post above may not actually be a work around. closer
inspection of the xorg.conf shows that he is using the vesa driver.
