This certainly isn't related to mentioned upstream bug because mentioned
bug was against 1.0 version and that issue was fixed, just never
confirmed by reporter. Your issue seemed to be related to menu
positioning problems that were fixed in LibFM 1.2.1, you just need to
upgrade your libfm-gtk4
It isn't problem of pcmanfm as libfm (and pcmanfm in turn) correctly
prepares notification, but Openbox fails to change cursor, it's why
startup notification doesn't work from any application running in
Openbox. That issue was fixed in some version of Openbox, you have to
upgrade or patch it.

What interesting discussion you have here... :)
In fact, using some "%s" in interpreted line is a security hole which is why it
was reworked long time ago. Now in LibFM (PCManFM) any % in 'terminal' setting
is ignored, along with everything behind it. So if you set it to
xfce4-terminal -T %s
Oh, even not that, I've missed the point, -X before % is ignored too
(for backward support of 'xterm -e %s') therefore in lines above '-T'
wouldn't be present too, just xfce4-terminal -x will be
executed or whatever.

It is intended behavior. To start terminal on some remote server you should
start it exactly on that remote server and PCManFM cannot ever know how to do
that and if that is even possible. Imagine you open a terminal and enter a

Unfortunately it is complicate when files have the same extension as MOD
