Public bug reported:
Following error message appears when I try to upgrade from 23.10 to
24.04:
Could not calculate the upgrade
An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade.
This was likely caused by:

The error here is the absence of lxcbr0 on the system, the rest is just
LXC trying to cleanup.

libcap2 builds a binary at build time which is run to extract the list of
capabilities and generate an header used for the rest of the build.
I assume that's what's causing the problem here as you'll essentially be
getting the list of capabilities that are supported by the kernel on the build

Just a quick update here that I updated libseccomp in Ubuntu to address the few
issues raised in its MIR (bug 1082431).
I think that was the only blocking bits for lxc's MIR, so it'd be nice if an
MIR team member could now review LXC.

I fixed the userspace side of this in 13.04 and the 3.8 kernel contains the
matching kernel fix.
I could probably backport the fix to 12.04, though it won't work until the
13.04 kernel is backported and people explicitly move to it.
