I have the same errors in my log. In my case it happened when I
maximized VMware 2.0b2 console. I am using truglass. gtk-window-
decorator does not die.
No Pango errors in my log. I propose that it's at least relatively
unrelated (at best coincidental.)

Please note that I am now using the vmware-server package from Ubuntu.
