pxlcolor driver.
According to the MFC9840CDW specifications the max resolution is 2400x600dpi. I
have modified the ppd to list that and default to 600dpi, can you try whether

Printing broken, usb printer

For Brother DCP-7030 and Brother DCP-7065DN the printer-driver-brlaser
package needs to be installed which is available since utopic. Would be
nice if this was installed by default as recommends in -desktop
installations for automatic configuraton in system-config-printer
Nice to hear that, brlaser is already packaged for the next Ubuntu release
14.10 (utopic).
I have filed a bug report to install printer-driver-brlaser package by default
in a desktop environment to get it automatically set up in the future, closing
as a duplicate.

provide a Linux driver for your specific printer model, therefore we are
closing this bug as Invalid while actually it is something Ubuntu can't fix.
Please ask your printer manufacturer for a Linux driver!
Furthermore
Does your printer have the optional PostScript module installed?
Otherwise you need to use the Ricoh Aficio MP 201 PXL driver included with
Ubuntu instead ot the PS driver, does that work?

please. Also try with the example file to send the data that would go to
