I just tried an install with an iso downloaded by torrent this morning.
Same problem with no kernel found. In Console F4, I saw endless probing
and not found. I'm not sure what it was looking for, but it was Intel
ISA PCIC probe: then numbers. I watched up to 1000 and it always
said not
I got this same odd video thing right after the keyboard layout. I hit
Enter for the default selections. When I got the video mess, I went to
Alt Ctrl F1 and then back to the GUI. I now had the next part of the
install showing. I went back to the keyboard section and forward again
and got a
and remove if they are.
6. sudo modprobe ath_pci
7. sudo dhclient ath0
This gets my connection as before in Dapper. Also, when I reboot, the
connection is there automatically.

This is not a bug. I investigated and found that 'which', in the Debian
package debianutils, for quite some time has been the one by Colin
Watson and not the 'which' written by Carlo Wood. This version does not
have the '-i' switch which is '--read-alias'.

which -a does not give
Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: debianutils
In the past, 'which -a ls' would show not only the executable of ls, but
also the alias which includes color or whatever is set.
When I run 'alias' I get:
alias ls='ls --color=auto'
'which -a ls' produces only:
/bin/ls

This driver is not working for me after a fresh install from the Oct 17
alternate cd. I did install the restricted-modules for the generic
kernel and they loaded. The Access Point is not associated and dhclient
fails to connect.
The old madwifi in the 2.6.15 kernel on a separate dapper install
It is a broken link.
/etc/alternatives/usplash-artwork.so - /usr/lib/usplash/usplash-theme-
ubuntu.so
The only file in /usr/lib/usplash is the following:
/usr/lib/usplash/usplash-artwork.so - /etc/alternatives/usplash-
artwork.so
That of course is broken, too, since it links to a broken link.
I removed jpilot-backup and jpilot-syncmal and now the hotsync performs
the sync only on the PIMs as expected.
