I just tried BlueCamel's suggested fix (adding YPBINDARGS=-no-dbus in
/etc/default/nis), and it worked perfectly. This pretty much proves
that NIS has a bug in its use of D-Bus, and should allow the developers
to find and fix the bug.

There are three strings:

My setup is 2 x 1TB SATA disks configured as Raid 1. 500GB primary
partition has Vista Ultimate 64bit installed. I wanted the rest of the

the Device section of xorg.conf as I cannot do this on a Live CD boot.

My acer aspire 5315 runs at 80 celsius idle. After watching videos or
using flash it shuts down giving an overheated promt. Having a dualboot
with intrepid, hardy and vista, but I only encounter this problem in
jaunty.
