I have a 64 bit ed of Ubuntu 10.10 configured with Squeezebox and

chronological order then all the
newer folders are renamed (renumbered). This explains why I am getting
so many albums that were not on the New Music list as New Music.
Perhaps there is no resolve for this.

Has anyone succeeded in getting the latest(7.8) or any of the
Squeezeplay .deb downloads to install and work correctly. Presently I am
running Squeezeplay on Ubuntu 10.10 that I was able to compile with
instructions from this site
I tried your command replacing only yourusername:yourusername with
my ownuser name but I am not able to playback my music files. Oddly the
web server does not see my player but the player sees the web server and
my music files but when I try to play the plare displays nothing

More Fool Me. I had my old computer with LMS installed hooked up to
ethernet along with my new machine that I thought didn't work. Works
fine now I turned the old PC off.

I downloaded the deb file from Logitech for Squeezeplay 7.7.2 and tried
to install it with Software centre but it would not install. Why would a
nonfunctional (?) file be on the Logitech web site for download. Is
there a clear instruction anywhere for installing Squeezeplay?
I guess I am looking for a fairly straight forward way to install
Squeezeplay. There does not appear to be a concise set of directions on
how to install the 24/96 able version so I have not tried it yet.

I have mangled permissions of my music and now LMS does not see my
music. I used Audiomuzes code(below) previously with success but now my
Server is seeing no music in the directory after clear and scan.

I know it sounds idiotic after I got it working. I have had permission
issues with an external hard drive that I was trying to back my music
onto . I stupidly thought it might be an issue with permissions in my
music folder so I used sudo chmod 770 -R on both the directory where my
music is as

rescanned LMS. Rescan took only a few seconds and no music is available

The external drive (ext 4) was the intial source of my difficulties that
led to my internal drive (ext 4) which contains my music folders to no
longer be accessible.

I created a small playlist in VLC. I was able to play it back in VLC. I
dropped it into my playlist folder and it appears in LMS but is not
playable as before. I used nautilus to open the playlist folder, and
using ctl-L command I then copied the path and pasted it into LMS.

under WINE. I have found about 150 files out of 25,000 that may have

The code(Mr.Cs) will work for indivdual Albums but using it to test an
entire directory produces output with file names but not parent

I have my music in one folder /media/Music/Flac and I have had no

You were right signor rossi. I entered http://127.0.0.1:9000/ into my
browser as per the squeezebox manual and voila it worked.
Next problem to solve is to see if I can get Sugarcube and MusicIP to
work. Does anyone know if thos plugins work in Linux?

Is there a Linux equivilent of UTL Snooper? I used to listen to an
Israeli station called IDC 106.2 FM on my Touch and favorited it. Now
when I choose it in favorites it shows the correct screen icon for the
station on my Touch but nothing plays. It works if I go to the stations

I am getting good playback without dropouts with two wireless Radios
and one wired Touch. I am using ubuntu 14.04.1

Did you have any problem with any plugins? I have several of Erland's
plugins such as Trackstat,Dynamic Libraries,Multilibraries to name a

Is there any way of controlling Volume Balance on the SB3. I seem to
recall in the early days of Squeezebox you could control it via the
remote.
The reason I am asking is that I just hooked up a D Class amp to a SB3
and it does not appear to have any balance controls.

The speakers are on a bookshelf. One speaker is
18.04 works fine for me with LMS with one caveat. MusicIP does not work

I am not using a VM but a full install.
I am testing Ubuntu 18.04 with LMS on a virtual box on my Linux Mint PC.
When I start LMS on Virtual Box it finds the music folder (where there
is one test file) and then I am able to choose a player. At this point
the music directory suddenly becomes my Music(45,000 files) on the Mint
install

I have been going through my collection and reviewing tags and such. I
noticed a huge chuck of my collection(30%) has an incorrect modification
date (Nov 29 1979 11:00). Obviously this is impossible unless I time
travelled. These files do not appear to be corrupted or damaged
otherwise and play
1979 must be a linux thing to default to. Funny there were no personal
computers in 1979 but then neither in 1901;)
