Are you using IE? It hasn't worked correctly now for about a month
(trunk). For the latest trunk, only Firefox and Chrome correctly
display Browse/Catalogs/Categories.

I don't think this is possible. Each store has its on payment gateway,
email settings etc and stores are tied up with the web sites.
If you can state what exactly you are trying to achieve in business
terms, we may suggest you and alternative solution.

Carts, pricing and a million other things are all dependent on the store in
use, it just isn't feasible to do what you're asking. You would be better off
setting up two separate catalogs within the same store and then branding them
differently.
