Don, Thanks for your suggestion, I did do a Google search before posting on here and none of the replies were terribly helpful. I have found a temporary solution; setting compatibility mode for swriter.exe to Windows 7 removes the problem completely. I'm now wondering whether LO 3.6 is truly
