Hi All,
My SMPP provider requires 2 additional parameters to be passed to them for a
message to be successfully
routed. I was able to configure the smpp-tlv group for this and the message
successfully goes through the
bearerbox using the HTTP URL method. However, when I configure the Sqlbox
is doing the request.
example:
post-url =
http://localhost/smpp.php?from=%pmessage=%areceived=%Tcoding=%ccharset=
%Cto=%Psmsc_id=%ikannel_id=%Iudh=%udcs=%mmwi=%Msms-service=%nbinmess
=%bbillinfo=%Baccount_id=%f
4. iconv ..

Hi Seikath,
Thanks for responding but when you say convert the Kannel request from the
reported kannel character
set do you mean the value set in the alt-character variable? I tried the
above and what happens is
all characters except the $$ sign shows a weird character and doesn't show

Hi Alejandro,

Hi Guys,
Sorry to bother you all again but I am still having few issues. I tried past
few days on my own but I can't seem to
get around these. I would appreciate any help. Alejandro, I am attaching the
logs as you requested last time.
Issue #1
The TLV's or the custom var's are not
Yes that’s a variable you can set in your SMSC group. Look at the user guide .I
believe the variable is
dest-addr-ton similarly there is a source-addr-ton but I believe you wont need
it. you might also need
to configure the dest-addr-npi according to your SMPP provider’s requirements.

Yes you are going to need the latest CVS version. Look at the documentation it
has examples and
sample configuration file.

Hi Guys,
I did all the changes in the configuration file and configured the smpp tlv
group based on Donald's
tutorial (Great tutorial btw) and Kannel user guide but not sure if I still
did something wrong but the
meta-data=%D returns blank and the operator ID nor anything else is returned

HI Nikos,
I am sorry but I don't see the operator id in the PDU returned by mBlox. I
am going to try using TLV meta data
as others have suggested.
Thanks

You need to use latest CVS, though. 1.4.3 won't cut it.

You're using an aggregator right? Maybe they use a TLV to send you the
carrier id? Check the documentation or ask your SMSC provider about it.

Yes we have that its just Kannel is sending out the wrong value. I checked
with the operator they
said all data we need including the operator Id is being returned in the
pdu.

Hi All,
I have been trying to integrate Kannel with our SMS application and so far
have had success receiving
messages however, I am having a bit of hard time trying to get Kannel return
the operator id of the message.
Based on the documentation I set the %o value in the response URL but
hostname which is
not what I am looking for.
I am not sure if this is a bug in Kannel or some other setting that I need
to do.
Appreciate your help.
Thanks
